Jorge Sanhueza-Lyon / KUT News

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

With primary runoffs just five days away, Republican State Rep. Lance Gooden has filed a lawsuit alleging voter fraud in Kaufman County.

He’s petitioning to keep mail-in ballots from Terrell sealed, rather than be opened by the county's ballot board on Monday. The Dallas Morning News reports Gooden alleges voter fraud has been occurring in Terrell for more than a decade.

He's in a runoff against Bunni Pounds of Garland in the 5th Congressional District. Jeb Hensarling is retiring from that seat.
