The top stories this afternoon from KERA News: The president and chancellor of Texas A&M came to a Dallas charter school Tuesday to apologize.

They told students at Uplift Hampton Preparatory they were sorry about the racial taunts the kids endured during a campus visit last week.

And for folks living on the financial edge, one place to find help is 211 Texas.

The hotline has resources for everything from putting food on the table to Medicaid enrollment. Tarrant County 211 just released a report about who’s been calling.

You can hear North Texas stories weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
