Top Stories: Municipal Runoff Elections; Mexican-American Studies In Texas

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

Tomorrow's Election Day for municipal runoffs. These are races in which a candidate did not earn a majority of votes in last month's municipal elections.

Those races include council seats in Lancaster, Irving, Allen, Duncanville, and Coppell. There's also a mayoral runoff in Lancaster, and a runoff in the Dallas school district for the District 9 trustee seat.

Polls open tomorrow at 7 a.m.
