Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will join President Donald Trump today at the White House when he releases details of his long-awaited $1.5 trillion plan to improve the nation's infrastructure.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Price was invited to attend a meeting – though she has no details of what her role will be. Price said Friday she hopes for a discussion on state and federal projects and how to leverage public money with private dollars.
According to reports, Trump will request $200 billion in new federal funding, including $100 billion in cost-sharing payments for state and local projects.
Price was in Washington last month at a meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. There, Trump singled her out, calling her a "fantastic friend."

- Now that Dallas is among 20 finalists for Amazon's new headquarters, questions loom about how far the city will go to lure the tech giant. The Seattle-based online retailer last month reportedly asked finalists to keep quiet about the second phase of the process. At a Texas Tribune conversation in Dallas on Friday, Mayor Mike Rawlings said the city won't make any irresponsible financial decisions. “We've got so much more to offer before the incentives come,” he said. Dallas and other cities that submitted bids have been tight-lipped about what's in their proposals, and that has raised concerns about cities offering huge incentives to win over the company. Amazon's new second headquarters would provide 50,000 jobs and billions of dollars in investment.
