Representatives from the Campaign for Texas Families, The Coalition of African-American Pastors (CAAP) and The Children's Center for Healthy Gender & Sexuality were in attendance.

In Dallas, a group of pastors and conservative activists launched what they called an effort to create “mass civil disobedience" in protest of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision to legalize same-sex marriage.

They’re calling their coalition Real Marriage: One Man/One Woman for Life.

Psychotherapist David Pickup is affiliated with a group called Children’s Center for Healthy Gender and Sexuality.

“We’re bringing back America to itself, which means back to the Judeo-Christian ethic of one man, one woman, marriage for life. Secure gender, secure sexuality, which America is heading away from," Pickup said Tuesday.

The group plans to hold conferences for opponents of same-sex marriage.

“They will be working, active participants to create new businesses, new nonprofits, new ways of political thinking, new ways of how to approach issue from a spiritual standpoint in which we’ll create, move and march," Pickup said.

He also said the coalition plans to lobby and protest, but did not give specific details. The coalition also included representatives from the Campaign for Texas Families and The Coalition of African-American Pastors (CAAP).
