East Dallas Cleans Up After Storm

Lakewood residents in Dallas are cleaning up after Wednesday night's hailstorm.

Stanley George was at work in Lakewood Village when the storm hit.

"I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.  It just sounded like a lot of giant rocks, or ice cubes coming down from the sky," George said.

George says some of the hail looked to be as big as baseballs. It left deep dimples in the hood of his car, and a web of impact dents and cracks across the windshield.

The neon lights in the landmark Lakewood Theatre tower were shattered, as was part of the marquee.

The Dale Chihuly glass exhibit at the Arboretum sustained damage to a handful of glass lilypads.
