The Dream Of The Low 90s Is Alive In North Texas — With Rain Chances Starting Tonight

The dog days of summer are about to get slightly cooler in North Texas.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth predicts highs in the low 90s starting Thursday through the weekend. Those are arguably comfortable temperatures compared to the sweltering triple-digit days we’ve endured this summer.

Rain chances will increase late tonight into early Wednesday morning as showers and storms move south out of Oklahoma. Wednesday will still be a hot one, though, with a high of 98.

Then the cold front arrives: Thursday’s expected to reach a mere 91 degrees.

The best bet for rain in North Texas will be Wednesday night into Thursday morning with a 60 percent chance for rain in Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton.

Many across the region will see some rain by Thursday but it’ll cap at half an inch or less. Some luckier areas could see up to 2 inches. North Texas needs all it can get
