The downtown Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center was evacuated just after 4 p.m. Friday after Dallas police received a call about a bomb threat, according to a statement from the city

The center currently is being used for the BMW Dallas Marathon expo and the Call of Duty World League Championship.

Dallas police say that shortly before 4 p.m., a caller notified the convention center's administration office that he had placed two backpacks of explosives inside the convention center, and that it would go off in 30 minutes.

Police say they found multiple backpacks inside the convention center "that gave them concern." The department's explosive ordinance squad arrived on the scene.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Dallas police determined there were no explosive devices.
