Dallas, TX –

Voters will decide a number of school bond issues across North Texas November 6th. The Fort Worth school district is seeking one of the largest at $593.6 million. It's the district's first bond package since 1999. The scandal that followed over mismanagement of school construction projects shook public trust - a cloud still hanging over the Fort Worth district. Superintendent Dr. Melody Johnson told KERA's Sam Baker the district has put enough safeguards in place to merit the public's trust on a bond package - not to mention the district's needs.
