The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will decide next week whether to allow tire burning at TXI's 40-year old wet cement kiln in Midlothian south of Dallas/Fort Worth. An environmental group, Downwinders at Risk, is putting pressure on the state environmental agency to deny the request and increase public involvement in the process. 90.1's Catherine Cuellar has been following the story.
