Catherine Cuellar, 90.1 Reporter: ACORN, which has aided thousands of hurricane survivors in north Texas over the past six months, is sponsoring a Family Recovery Festival Saturday in Dallas. Katrina Survivor Association chair Katie Neason says the event will include a political forum with various candidates for political office in New Orleans.
Katie Neason, Chair, Katrina Survivor Association: "We also will have registrations for absentee voting. We're going to sign people up for the trip to Shreveport to do early voting on the 10th and the 15th."
Cuellar: Representatives from agencies offering employment, child care, health care, and tax assistance will also have booths. Transportation is available if requested by Friday.
