Associates of Supreme Court nominee say she's pro-life

Dallas, TX –

Catherine Cuellar, 90.1 Reporter: Self-described progressive Lorlee Bartos says that when she was managing Harriet Miers' 1989 campaign for Dallas City Council, they disagreed about abortion.

Lorlee Bartos, Harriet Myers' 1989 city council campaign manager: "I had assumed she was pro-choice and she told me she had been in her youth, but that she'd had some sort of born again conversion on it and was anti-choice."

Cuellar: Miers was a longtime member of Valley View Christian Church in Dallas before moving to Washington D.C. to work for President Bush. In 1993, while Miers was president of the State Bar of Texas, she lobbied unsuccessfully for the American Bar Association to change its position from pro-choice to neutral.
