Luce Recommends Improvements for Public Schools (Part 2)

Dallas, TX – Tom Luce has been involved with the school reform movement since the 1980s, when Ross Perot hand-picked the Dallas lawyer to study Texas schools and make recommendations for change. In his new book (co-authored with Lee Thompson), Do What Works: How Proven Practices Can Improve America's Public Schools, Luce advocates for testing and using best practices data to help improve student performance. In the first of a two-part interview with KERA 90.1's Marla Crockett, Luce talks about where the school reform movement is today and how the Texas State Legislature should approach school finance and reform in public schools.
