Four seats on the Tarrant County College District Board of Trustees and three at large seats on the Tarrant Regional Water District Board are also on the ballot.

The Tarrant County College District Board of Trustees has seven members.
It provides final approval for district policies, budget and faculty and staff appointments. It also has the power to levy taxes for the construction of physical facilities and for District operation within the authority granted to it by state law and the voters of the District.

The Tarrant Regional Water Tax District, primarily centered in Fort Worth, was established in 1949 to fund the Fort Worth floodway. Board candidates are running to fill to fill three, four-year positions.

While the spring election hasn’t received as much attention as last November’s, it could potentially have much more influence on residents’ day-to-day lives. Here’s what you need to know about the May 1 election.

Voting Information:
Tarrant County early voting is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 24; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, April 25; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. April 26 and 27.

Election Day voting in Tarrant County is Saturday, May 1 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at any voting location.
