The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom:

There’s a new box to check on income taxes for 2014. For most folks, showing proof of health insurance will be as easy as checking that box.  Others will have extra forms to fill out.

And troubled charter school Prime Prep, started by former Dallas Cowboy Deion Sanders, has been under scrutiny for quite some time. Tuesday, Prime Prep was supposed to appear at a state hearing, but school officials didn’t show up.

You can listen to the top local news stories weekdays at 6:20 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
