Filmaker Isaac Julien

Filmmaker Isaac Julien has won prizes and controversy for his feature films Young Soul Rebels and his documentaries Looking for Langston, and he is often called Britain's pre-eminent black independent filmmaker. But he is turning frequently to museum settings to show his films, which deal in a dreamlike, experimental way with the intersection of black and gay identity. Pat Dowell has more.
