Conjoined Twin Separation

NPR's Wendy Kaufman reports on the separation of conjoined twins in Seattle earlier this month. The two girls were joined at the breast bone and shared the lower half of their bodies. Surgeons spent 31 hours working to divide their liver, intestines, and bladder to ensure that each could survive on their own. (
