The University of Dallas has received a $12 million gift, the single largest donation in its 57-year history.

The contribution is from Satish and Yasmin Gupta, who are both graduates of the Irving university’s MBA program.

The gift will fund construction of a new academic building that will house the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business.

Satish Gupta founded SB International, a global steel company headquartered in Dallas. Yasmin Gupta is executive vice president.

The Guptas say they hope the business school will inspire and empower students to become leaders in their communities.

The building is expected to open in fall 2015.
