Top Stories: A Trip To Video Game Heaven; Pair Of North Texas Golfers In The Hunt At The Masters

The top local stories this afternoon from KERA News: The North Texas Videogame Museum fills a 10,000 square foot space at the Frisco Discovery Center.  It’s stocked with what you’d expect: arcade games, rare computer games and all sorts of gaming memorabilia. 

A pair of golfers with North Texas ties find themselves at the top of the leaderboard at the Masters golf tournament. Dallas' Jordan Spieth is in the lead for the sixth round in a row dating back to last year. While former SMU golfer Bryson DeChambeau is lurking near the top, even though he's only an amateur. 

Other stories this afternoon: 

  • State authorities are investigating allegations that a woman was sexually assaulted by a former Baylor football player. She told police that she was assaulted by Shawn Oakman in Waco early Sunday morning.

  • Austin police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in the killing of a first-year University of Texas dance student. The body of 18-year-old Haruka Weiser was discovered Tuesday in a creek on the Austin campus.
