Top Stories: Texas House Debates Budget; Pre-K Enrollment In North Texas

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The Texas House today begins a marathon debate over its version of the state budget. More than 400 amendments have been filed. Some of them touch on controversial topics such as school vouchers, abortion regulations, and transgender rights.

The debate’s expected to last late into the night. Once a budget’s passed, the House and the Senate will have to work on the final version of the state spending plan.
