Top Stories: A New Downtown Dallas District; Digitize Your Home Movies This Weekend

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: A developer has announced the creation of a new district on the east side of downtown Dallas.

Todd Interests spent the last two years purchasing land and 18 historic buildings that will make up the East Quarter district. The company hopes to create a neighborhood connecting the Dallas Farmers Market, Deep Ellum, and Main Street.

East Quarter includes 200,000 square feet of office, retail and restaurant space. 

Todd Interests is behind the redevelopment of the post office building downtown, along with One Dallas Center and the Tower Petroleum Building.
