The top local stories this evening from KERA News:

Early voting starts tomorrow in the Texas primaries, and Election Day is March 6. The winners advance to the November election.

All this week, we're joining public radio stations across the state and answering listener questions about the primaries called our Texas Decides series. Ryan Poppe with Texas Public Radio has answers to some of your frequently-asked questions.

Other stories this evening:

  • Weight Watchers, Paleo, Whole 30 and other diets. There's no shortage of them in America. Food writer Michael Pollan argues, though, these diets are just distractions. Today on Think, he talked with Krys Boyd about how Americans should think about food.

  • Pick something you like about theater and chances are, there’s a theater festival for it. New works, plays by women, plays by solo artists, seven plays in seven days. As the season for theater festivals heats up, KERA’s Shelley Kenneavy looks at why theater companies dive deep into these themes and how they try to convince audiences to jump in, too.

You can listen to North Texas stories weekdays at 8:22 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
