Top Stories: Cold, Wet And Potentially Icy Weather In Store Today

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The National Weather Service says there's a threat of freezing rain for areas north and west of the Metroplex today.

"Currently, we're looking at a few icy spots for example in Jacksboro and north into the Cooke County area,” meteorologist Juan Hernandez said.

School districts in Bowie, Jacksboro and Stephenville are closed today because of the weather.

The rest of the North Texas region will be cold and wet. As much as four-and-a-half inches of rain fell in the Dallas-Fort Worth area yesterday, which caused some flooding.
