From The Newsroom: Perry Suspends Campaign; Volunteers Honor 9/11 Victims

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Former Texas Governor Rick Perry becomes the first Republican to exit the presidential race.

His campaign was strapped for cash and Perry was polling near zero.

And thousands of volunteers spent Friday honoring victims of Sept. 11 with a day of service.
