KAY BAILEY HUTCHISON CONVENTION CENTER

If you want to see a doctor and don’t have health insurance, you might want to head to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on Saturday -- it's hosting a health clinic for adults and kids.

Nicole Lamoureax, CEO of The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, says more than 60 exam rooms will be available to handle patients’ appointments.

The free services that will be available for uninsured people include: medical exams; kidney tests; glucose tests; EKGs; cholesterol tests; dermatology screenings; vision screenings and glasses; and three months’ worth of free medications.

Dallas County Texas has the highest proportion of uninsured residents in its population at 29 percent – almost double the national average.

To make an appointment – before midnight Thursday – call 1-800-340-1301.

Update: All available appointments for adults have been filled. Walk-ins will be accepted in the morning. Learn more here.
